Circuitstead Lab is operated by an individual sole proprietor using the Circuitstead brand. These terms describe use of Circuitstead material and digital products. Payment and checkout are also subject to the applicable Lemon Squeezy buyer terms. Nothing on this page removes rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

Educational material and compatibility

Circuitstead guides, worksheets, examples and templates are educational and informational resources. They are not a managed hosting service, a personalized engineering assessment or a guarantee of a particular outcome.

A setup may not suit every device, network, NAS or server. Read the stated prerequisites, supported reference lane and current official project instructions before making changes. Hardware sizing, performance and compatibility outside a documented verification scope are not guaranteed.

Your systems and responsibilities

You control changes to your systems. Plan and verify backups before changes, protect credentials, review network exposure and security settings, and maintain the software you run. Use an isolated practice environment and non-sensitive data when learning. Do not assume an example is suitable for production or that a backup can be restored until you have checked it.

Circuitstead does not need your system passwords, API keys or private backups to provide email product support. Redact sensitive information from diagnostic messages.

License for downloaded materials

You may use purchased or downloaded Circuitstead materials for personal use or internal business use. You may adapt the included examples and worksheets for those purposes and share them with people within your organization who need them for that internal use.

You may not redistribute, resell, repackage or share the customer files, including modified versions, as a competing product or free distribution. Do not upload them to public repositories, shared download sites or external groups. Buying a copy does not transfer ownership of Circuitstead's original content.

This restriction applies to Circuitstead's materials, not to independent third-party software or material whose own license grants separate rights. Mandatory legal exceptions and rights remain unaffected.

Intellectual property and third-party projects

Circuitstead's original writing, artwork and product materials remain the intellectual property of their rights holders. Third-party project names, logos, software and documentation belong to their respective owners and remain subject to their own licenses and brand rules. A project reference does not imply endorsement or a partnership.

Products, payment and delivery

The Self-Hosted Home Server Build Kit is a digital download priced at $29 USD one-time. Any applicable tax and final total are shown at hosted checkout. The free 10 Docker Apps Starter Pack is $0 with email delivery through Kit after confirmation.

Lemon Squeezy is the Merchant of Record and the provider for paid checkout, payment and digital-file fulfillment. Read the Lemon Squeezy buyer terms presented for your purchase. Circuitstead does not operate a separate card-processing or protected-download service. For delivery problems, contact support@circuitstead.com. Refund requests are covered by our refund policy.

Support

Email product support is available through support@circuitstead.com for access problems, questions about the supplied materials and reports of errors. It does not include remote administration, implementation on your behalf, custom infrastructure design or a guarantee that your particular system will work. No guaranteed response-time SLA is offered. These support limits do not restrict any remedy required by applicable law.

Availability and updates

Services and third-party links may change or be temporarily unavailable. Corrections and minor updates to a purchased edition may be provided. Purchase does not promise lifetime access to every future major edition or other future products. Any update or availability limit remains subject to applicable legal obligations and rights attached to the purchase.

Disclaimers and limitations

To the extent permitted by applicable law, educational material is provided without a promise of uninterrupted availability, universal compatibility or a particular performance, security or financial result. Review the actual description and documented scope of each product.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Circuitstead is not responsible for losses caused by changes made to your own systems contrary to the stated instructions or precautions, or for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the materials. This does not exclude responsibility or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights concerning the quality, description or supply of digital content. No part of these terms limits liability where the law prohibits that limit.
